✈️ Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø

As soon as you arrive in Tromsø , you immediately feel the Arctic atmosphere of the city.

Small, quiet, and surrounded by mountains and fjords, Tromsø is perfect for exploring on foot.


🌌 Northern Lights Hunt

The real protagonist of the trip.

Taking an evening excursion to see the Northern Lights is an incredible experience.

🚠 Day 2: Fjellheisen Cable Car e

Arctic landscapes

One of the most beautiful experiences you can have is riding the Fjellheisen , Tromsø's famous cable car.

In a few minutes you reach a spectacular panoramic point with a view of:

  • city

  • snow-capped mountains

  • fjords

  • Arctic Sea

👉 At sunset or in the evening the atmosphere is even more evocative.



🌆 What to see in the city

Arctic Cathedral

One of the symbols of the city, famous for its modern and minimalist architecture.

Tromsø City Center

  • Try the famous Hot Dog at Rakketten Bar & Polse in the center of the pedestrian area


🐋 🦌 Day 3: Whale watching and reindeer excursion

One of the most exciting excursions of the trip.

Whale watching tours in the Arctic fjords are available from Tromsø.

During the excursion you can see:

  • whales

  • orcas

  • spectacular landscapes

Afterwards I recommend you go on a reindeer trek and discover the Sami culture.


🌊 Day 4: Sommarøy and unspoiled nature

Last day dedicated to Sommarøy , one of the most beautiful places in the surroundings of Tromsø.

Here you will find:

  • Arctic beaches

  • crystal clear water

  • snow-capped mountains

  • possibility of having a picnic on the beach tasting Norwegian salmon

Despite the Nordic climate, the color of the water almost recalls tropical destinations.

The best time is:

Of course, the aurora is never guaranteed, but Tromsø offers excellent conditions thanks to its geographical location.

In winter temperatures can be very low.

To bring:

  • thermal clothing

  • waterproof shoes

  • gloves and hat

  • aurora camera, or a phone with night photography capability
